can't download emails from Gmail

G'day all. Having problems getting email delivered to Evolution through the pop on gmail. I can get both Bigpond and Internode but not Gmail. I'm sick of double checking myself. Am I missing something? Ihave set it up as per specs and it still sits there until it times out.
