Problems using Skype on Hardy 8.04

Asked by Yann Capdequi

Hi there:

I was used to use Skype for calls to Skype and not Skype Users on Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon with Skype 1.4.0.118-.

Since I've upgraded Ubuntu to version Hardy 8.04, I'm experiencing troubles using Skype. The calls are working but it looks like it eats the whole bandwidth and much more since it's exactly like if you were in an bad covered zone with your mobile. I can hardy hear the people, and people can't hear me.

I'm sure it's not due to my handset, since on Windows it works perfectly, and it worked perfectly before I upgraded to 8.04.-

Anybody can help me?

Regards.
