grub entries after upgrade ubuntu

I had recenttly upgarded to the last version of ubuntu: 8.04 hardy

when I boot the grub is still showin the last version of ubuntu.

my question is: can I just simple remove the entry from the menu.lst?? or shoud I do something extra to remove the old version.
