how to add subtitles

i have downloaded some movei from internet but unfortunately the subtitle is not english there....

now i want to get to get english subtitles instead of arabic subtitles that was with those movie....

the format is .rmvb there i usually play em with realplayer 11.... can anybody help me to add english subtitle in ubuntu linux through any software or any way......plz help me to do this......

Totem will try to pick up move-name.txt in the same directory as the movie and try to use it as subtitle. Not sure if totem can play rmvb format, if it can search the Net for this movie's subtitle and place it there as a .txt.

You may try to use vlc player to add subtitles.

I have the same problem
by the way VLC and Totem cannot play .rmvb
please need help
