Ask http://ubuntuforums.org/ for my password

Asked by AA0P

I don't remember my password for http://ubuntuforums.org/

How does one ask that web page for a new password??
It doesn't have any place to ask; at least I can't fine one.

This Launchpad appears to be for program developers; I am a Linux beginner.
Thus far it has been quite difficult to get answers to my Linux questions.

If I can get to Ubuntu Forums, I won't bother the Launchpad again for a long time!
Thanks

You can simply create a new account.

Tried that; it tells me that that address has already been used, which of course I knew that.

The problem is that I don't remember the proper password. The password I have written down does NOT WORK. Most web site state something to the effect of "For new password - click here - a new password will be sent to your address on our records".

I prefer not to pay for a new provider with a new address. Nor do I want to use an alias which would require me to remember various addresses. Like let's see now, which address did I use for that web page service.

Please stop repeated posting; it will not speed up the answer process. One way to contact the Forums staff is through the #ubuntuforums IRC channel.
