Questions which if answered are imperative to Ubuntus success.

Asked by Merlin

I have several questions of vital importance and I believe cut to the very core of sucess for this operating system and is inline with your stipulated ideals. This is the third time I have tried to submit it, as the operating system has crashed 3 times while trying to do so.
Do not think this is an ungrateful post or sour grapes,as if these questions were satisfied to satisfaction the success you seek would manifest on many different levels, and as this O.S. is purporting to be for the people and less advantaged children, they are getting a bunch of problems.

Question 1.Why are there so many virus' on a fresh install? This instance has been initiated for 7 hours. I have not surfed and only downloaded updates and security software and have 9 virus.

Question 2.If they are of no malevolent infuence on this operating why have I not been able to sustain an install for more than a week?

Question 3.Whose idea was it to suggest that if this O.S. is virus immune, which I sincerely doubt, that it is O.K. to tolerate they're presence? This is a perverse and philosophically floored concept, and coming from astute minds worries me greatly.

Question 4.Why are extra buggy applications added to an already buggy base and one stage not perfected before it is added to?
The problem is exponential and multiplies faster than it can be fixed and while the foundation is weak the edifice must founder.I would love to leave the insecurable for the ideal of Ubuntu and open source in general but cannot sustain a functional instance. For the people,or just the people that can handle the complexities of the cyber perverse showing how clever they are by fucking my day or a buggy code base?.The disadvantaged kids don't stand a chance,or me for that matter.I don't specialize in this field yet and would love to contribute but cannot sustain a machine long enough to learn anything.I would love to "Read a @%$#& manual!

Question 5.why is someone whose line of specialty is not welded to a VDU 24 hours a day instantly considered an idiot?.
If someone has never encountered something they must by virtue of the nature of things be ignorant of it.The human being is proving to be an unpleasant experience no matter where I go.A handful of nice people is not enough and we are ankle tapping our own bootstraps.A concerted effort to reduce the amount of malevolence in the world(and just thinking it infects the cache) must be an aspiration of top priority as evil and unkindness is self devouring and viral by nature and will surely return to you the more is going round.

No I am not a fucken bot.I cannot keep an instance of an operating system up for more than a week and that is good and I am getting really pissed. The instance I posted this with is already on a new install.Someone is attacking me or this operating system is too buggy. Its full of virus at least mine is on frsh installs.Firestarter will not lock when i want to leave the desk.A bot! this is as funny as no anesthetic heart surgery.

I am afraid to ask.I was so peeved off last night I fear I amy of offended everyone so I apologize, but I am far from stupid or a complete novice and it has been a nightmare.Just when I think i have it set up (at last) it crashes.
I have now had this instance running about 18 hours and it is much more stable but I have not installed anything and afraid to ruin a going concern.I think I may have to learn how to do it manually properly and build the applications I want from source as only a few work when using synaptic and some never.
I am also not convinced that all the attention might of induced a possible cracker to bug off so to speak as the problems just seemed to often with things like changed passwd files and permissions.Firestarter's lock function will not work properly from the GUI and not well from the --lock command and the last disaster occured while watching TV from the card with tripwire showing a bunch of altered files. If this is the case and I have burleyed up a cyber twerp, they'll be back as it has been going on for a while now straight through the dual gateway which has got me stumped how: no phishing,no way he could get a trojan on and a dual gateway I thought was almost impregnable?
Any way,I didn't mean to offend anyone I just put in over 48 hours work trying to get things right and all seemed well and bang of she went.

I was having such a hard time of it,I was angry and apologize as I do not wish to offend, but these questions really do need addressing if not answering.
Because the Linux operating system is largely unaffected is not a reason for complacency, that is unless you a writing such code, and then reason and common decency is beyond you.You are a pervert.Bill impresses me as much as spending my summer holidays being water boarded, but if you think he gets any viruss' I got a bridge you should look at.
My problems were not due to poor procedure but either outside interference or bugs and if it is happening to me, you must be losing a lot of possible converts,as if I was not obsessively tenacious about succeeding this time with Unix and the gang,it would of been very easy to just give up again, and I dare to say their is a huge silent majority that splits without a wimper.
I am on your side quite sincerely, and would love to see Ubuntu flourish. Criticism that is sincere and constructive is worth all the error free run times or sycophantic flattery in the world,in search of a better analogy, we win by trampling mistakes into the dust, they must not be tolerated close enough is still a miss in boolean terms and a miss is as good as a mile.
I cant think of anymore corny cliches so I am going now.

It really is so close to being one of the best operating system bar none. All that work is wasted if you allow beta to be submitted as complete and if it is a corporate imperative to do so the caveats must be in block letters as much can be riding on some machines, like my sanity.

Jjajaja Merlin, you make me really laugh a lot!! It is better than when a friend showed apt-get moo!! JAjaja.

Thanks for the post. You should really go to your local LUG~they will LOVE you, I'm sure.

But, maybe you are a real life. Hey listen, I am a noob and I get myself into a lot of trouble with Ubuntu and it is the best O.S. Just remember that you may be capable of succeeding in your adventure with it with a lot of dedication.

Jajaja ( I didn't understood anything about Bill) Jajaja I am ignorant.
