can't get flash to work

try to install flash to work but nothing, I have ubuntu 8.04 and the flash windows shows like is loading but after loaded nothing happens.......
and yes I push the play button and nothing :(

all I did was follow instructions and now when i go to you tube it doesn't even play the video it just, says replay
looks like is missing something it's not completely loaded,
also do you know any shortcut keys for compiz thanks :)

what flash did you initially install?

Search for adobe flash player support for linux.Download and install it.

Refresh or Reload webpage, see if there a missing plug in appear on middle of the scree. Install it..
