Hi Myroslav,

Go to System > Preferences > Main Menu.
Under the Applications list, check the Add/Remove... box, and it should appear

System→Preferences→Main Menu → in right part of window just select Add/Remove to be displayed...

Thanks for the response, but I do not see an item "Add/Remove" under
System-Preferences-Main Menu. What now?

First make you sure, you have it installed → try to run it via terminal (Application→Accesories→Terminal), command is "gnome-app-install" (without quotation marks).

Just to make this question complete for others, as well, to re-add the icon if reinstalling gnome-app-install does not work:

System→Preferences→Main Menu

Click on Applications on the left then on New Item on the far right.

Type should already be Application
Put in Name: Add/Remove
or whatever you choose, it's what will appear in the list.
Put in command: gnome-app-install
The correct icon (rather than the "launcher" icon) should reappear as soon as you type in the gnome-app-install name, if not I believe it's
/usr/share/icons/hicolor/scalable/apps/gnome-app-install.svg
