applications menu has disappeared

   About an hour ago I installed Konqeror in ubuntu hardy, now my applications menu has disappeared. The icon is still in the panel but is inactive. The message I get is "Sorry Main Menu closed unexpectedly" How do I get it back pls

 Sorry about that guys, turns out my darling grandson was fooling about with main menu, I clicked on defaults and all has been restored.
