Num lock does not work

upgraded from 7.10 to8.04 num lock stopped working . cannot use keyboard number pad although number keys above letters does work . is there an easy fix . keith

Try remapping your keys at System > Preferences > Keyboard.

This also happened to me. I would double check the following before re-mapping:
System > Preferences > Keyboard
Under the "Mouse Keys" tab uncheck "Allow to control the pointer using the keyboard"
Then check to see if you number pad works.
Also, please mark as solved if either one of these answers fixes the problem.
