Have a look at the Frostwire page on the Wiki for installing it:
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/FrostWire

My best bet is that your Java isn't up to date.. this guide provides information on updating Java.

help

im trying to install frostwire or limewire which ever one i can install first frostwire used to say that all dependencys were satisfied now it says error: failed ot satisify all dependencies (broken cache) and limewire says that it needs to install 2 packages they are sun-java6-jre and sun-java6-bin when i try to install limewire it says that only one software management tool is allowed to run at the same time so i tryed the syntatic package manager and it said that i need to run dpkg --configure -a to correct a problem i did and nothing happened. can someone help i just want to listen to music and this is being a pain in my butt.

Be sure you have java installed is required by Limewire or Frostwire...

Get the .deb packages from http://www.frostwire.com/?id=downloads
and select open with gdebi.

Install it.

How to install Java

To install sun-java6

Please first enable the multiverse repository:

Open System → Administration → Software sources → [ Tab Ubuntu software ]

Then open a Terminal from the menu Applications → Accessories → Terminal and type:

sudo aptitude update
sudo apt-get upgrade
sudo aptitude install sun-java6-jre sun-java6-plugin

give your user password when requested, you don't see nothing when you type it, then press enter.

and then select this as your default java jre with
