Cannot Run Online Games

I am playing Maple Story and Ragnarok in Windows Platform then now i change to Ubuntu platform but I found that I can't play the games using Ubuntu. Why is this? Do i need to install any third party software or what? Thanks.

We'd be grateful if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem.

At a minimum, we need:
1. the specific steps or actions you took that caused you to encounter the problem,
2. the behavior you expected, and
3. the behavior you actually encountered (in as much detail as possible).

i thought to play Maple Online but then i cant even start the Maple.exe
what the problem with its?

You need to install wine to run Windows binaries in Ubuntu. Please refer to https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Wine to get wine installed.

This bug will be set to invalid. If you have any issues after installing wine please file a bug report.

these games are designed for microsoft windows, not ubuntu. thus ubuntu can not play them without special software ( wine ). even then wine is not perfect as microsoft does not reveal how its directX (and other api's) work so everything has to be reverse enginered, as a result of this 'Maple Story' does not work (as per repoted here: http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=application&iId=2341 ) but ragnarok online does, you can see this page to see how others got it to work: http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=928
