Scaner/Printer not working

Asked by Navin Talati

I have HP LaserJet M1005 MFP for last 10 years. no issue with the instrument. My OS at present is Ubuntu 16.04 LTS 64 bit.
The saner/printer was nicely working since today.
Today it started giving an error. not scanning. It is also not getting recognised by the application "Simple Scan" and displays the error as under:

CUPS server error
There was an error during the CUPS operation: 'Success'

I tried to couple of times deinstalling and Re-installing 'Simple Scan'

I also applied following stuffs (through googling activity)

*
sudo /etc/init.d/cups restartsudo /etc/init.d/cups restart
*
sudo service cups start
*
sudo cp /usr/share/cups/cupsd.conf.default /etc/cups/cupsd.conf
*
sudo service cups restart

But I could not make the scanner working.

I seek your help to resolve this issue - Please.
