ratDVD

Hola,
Tengo varios archivos en formato ratDVD y quisiera saber si en linux (Ubuntu 8.04 exactamente) existe alguna forma de reproducirlos, descomprimirlos, o convertirlos a DVD.
He leido en la web que no se puede hacer nada con estos archivos bajo linux, es esto cieto?
