does ubuntu 8.04 LTS install cd comes with a i686 kernel

I am about to install ubuntu 8.04 on my hp laptop. Just want to know whether ubuntu 8.04 LTS comes with a i686 kernel installation.

Yes ubuntu 8.04 LTS comes with a i686 kernel you have to choose the ubuntu i386 version.
