When will vmware-server show up in the repos?

Asked by Oscar

Hi.
I know there are ways to install vmware-server on Hardy, but I'd prefer to do it the simple way, with apt, if at all possible. Will there be a vmware-server available for Hardy sometime in the near future?

The Canonical partner repository is not a community run repository, but instead a repository that results from agreements between Canonical (Ubuntu's sponsor) and partner ISVs.

As can be seen here, they are trying to get vmware-server in the Partners Repository, but had no success yet:

To get more information on how the Partner repository works, read:

Thanks.
It didn't really solve my problem but I can only hope that canonical and vmware will get along sometime soon.
