Cant insert Formula on Open office

Recently ive realized that open office does not let me insert formulas into my documents anymore. The button in Insert >> Object >> Formula
is now greyed out.

How do I get this functionality back?

Hello
when you installed Open Office, did you check the install Math? I dont remember if it was selected by default or If i'm wrong on this part.

Mine works the way you indicated, but it seems I remember something about Math not being selected by default.

http://packages.ubuntu.com/hardy/openoffice.org-math

sudo apt-get install openoffice.org-math

I added Math and it still doesn't work.
