Do i have to make a copy of my present OS if I want to try out Ubuntu and then unistall it?

Asked by Bigbluebanana

I would probably like to use Ubuntu for a new computer, but first to try it out I would like to do it on an older computer. This is to see if there are any bugs and to see what I can get out of it. My question is if I need to make a copy of my present Windows OS so when I uninstall it everything will be back to normal.

Thanks

In order to try Ubuntu, you can simply download and burn the latest CD ISO image and use it to boot into the LiveCD from which you can explore Ubuntu without installing it on your hard drive.

Another possibility is to use wubi ( http://wubi-installer.org/ ) to install Ubuntu from Windows without requiring to re-partition your hard drive nor uninstalling your current OS.
