My Ubuntu Struck at this point

My Ubuntu Struck at this point..

sudo dpkg --configure -a
sudo: unable to resolve host vikas-desktop
Setting up gcc-3.3-doc (1:3.3.6-15ubuntu4) ...
sh: cannot open /usr/share/info/gcc-3.3.info.gz: No such file
install-info(/usr/share/info/gcc-3.3.info.gz):

Mine is Local Host, When Ever I log in it prepares the Crash Report and my Update manager is not working well.
sudo dpkg configure -a not able to configure all the packages.

Yes the bug is about local host mate.. /etc/hosts file on your computer contain local host settings

This is status of my Hosts file in /etc/hosts

127.0.0.1 vikas-desktop

Friends, Still not able to install any of the updates on Hardy 8.04.

Change my Host file, Sudo not working, Help me out in putting my ubuntu back on normal...
