Many systems do not hibernate or suspend properly. Please provide your computer's specs.

I have this problem ... after an hibernate, the computer just restarts from scratch.

My compter specs:
- Desktop
- Motherboard ECS KA1 MVP
- CPU AMD
- Graphics ATI Radeon X1300
- Ubuntu 8.04
- triple boot with Grub

It works well on XP ...

Thanks in advance for your help.
