K3B and APE+Cue image format: howto?

Asked by Uqbar

I used to use K3B under another distribution and I used to be able to manage APE+Cue image format.
Now it seems that KUbuntu's K3B version is not capable of this enymore.
Is it a K3B issue or is it (K)Ubuntu's?

Have you installed the K3B APE plugin already?

Nope. There was no advise for that.
I have no clue why this is to be done manually and there is no package in the standard
(universe/multiverse) repositories.
I'll do it and will update the request.
Thanks.

I had to download and install qt3-dev, kde-devel, nasm, libk3b-dev and libhal-dev for about 27 megs in order to try to compile the plugin.

Is there a reason why there is no pre-build package (or even a src package) with related dependencies for such a plugin?
It seems to me that the K3B is missing a leg without it.

In any case, now the k3b accepts the APE+CUE format.
