iBackup with Ubuntu

Asked by dunbrokin@gmail.com

I was using iBackup to store my data in Windows. Now that I have gone to the dark side, I want to do the same. They have supplies some scripts on the website showing how to do it....an it seems to work fine....but I want to automate it. The iBackup people have not been very helpful...they just directed me to the information on the website. What I need, I think is some kind of scheduler which can supply a password also when asked. Any help would be appreciated.

I think what you need is Cron. Cron runs tasks at a specified time and date. For example, I use it to backup photos and documents on my server to a second hard drive.

Have a look here:

As to the password bit I'm not sure how you would do that.

Can you help with this problem?
