Ubuntu installation

Asked by Justin Joy

Hi,

When i was trying to install ubuntu 8 from ubuntu desktop, during partition i couldn`t install ubuntu on my D drive using manual option( vista on C : 60 gb, D: 40 gb).
do i need to format D: drive.
If possible can u tell me the steps for 3rd option.
If i choose the first option like 91% vista 9 % ubuntu ; will the files in the hard disk be erase ,or do i need to free up some space for ubuntu.

is there any video in youtube about ubuntu 8 installation.
