Duel boot with windows XP and Ubuntu 7.04 (for now)

Asked by free2useemail

I am trying to get a duel boot to work. I go through the Linux Ubuntu install, when the partition part comes up, I choose the first option and it resizes my disk, and installs Ubuntu on the resized part. After the install, I get the boot screen. Their are a couple Ubuntu options, and then there is at the bottom a windows XP professional OS. I try this, but it comes up to a screen saying that the operating system is corrupted. I am going to try to install Ubuntu, then install windows XP after Ubuntu using this sight http://apcmag.com/how_to_dual_boot_linux_and_windows_xp_linux_installed_first.htm

If you are planning to install everything from the beggining, do not follow that tutorial. Install Windows first and, later, Linux. Otherwise, if you install Windows after Linux, Windows will delete the chages Linux did to the MBR and you will have to restore it some way, as that tutorial explains.

Can you help with this problem?
