installing 8.04 on a fat32 file system

When i manual choose where i want to install ubuntu it tells me something to do with the root,there are lot of options from fat32 to i dont know

Hi, I had to define partition but left it unformatted and it installed in the unformatted partition..the initial set up is in fat16 if that helps...this distro is awesome full support for my 965 chipset woo woo...good luck

thanks i managed , now i have another problem after i installed Ubuntu on my computer, i have a windows server 2003 that i would like to access remotely.
How do i do that?

Hi Vee, Need more Imformation...is the server in house? is access via ethernet or internet? need better picture of network...

the server is in-house, i connect through ethernet.But my machine connects through wireless.Do you think its because am on wireless?

Hi Vee, Try reviewing this document http://library.gnome.org/users/user-guide/stable/prefs-internet-and-network.html.en and then if you need to install windows drivers you will need somrthing like this ..have not used it myself or do I know if it is compatable with new release of Hardy...hope this helps....good luck redroad
