Ubuntu linux usb drivers support for nord clavia instruments?

Asked by George Liakos

Actually I don't know if this is the right place to ask but since I haven't found a solution else where I'll give it a try.

There's a big issue for many musicians around the world using nord instruments + any Linux operating system.
These instruments have a free software with which you can interact with your instrument once it is connected to your computer or laptop.
The problem is that this software only works under windows and mac products. The thing is that using wine should be a solution since the nord software is a simple manager for the instrument BUT the usb drivers are not recognised so it is useless.

There have been many discussions for workarounds in forums like using a Windiws VirtualMachine or as I mentioned before the "wine" solution but nothing really works as the drivers won't install.

Is there any chance someone could come up with a solution that won't need the use of windows, mac, virtual machines, etc?
