contact to working wlan-stick simply gone

Asked by greenhunter

Until this morning I had a working wlan configuration.

Digitus DN-7003GC
Ndiswrapper
Installed drivers:
sis163u driver installed
modprobe config already contains alias directive

The wlan-stick is test and working with win xp.
both USB-Ports 1.1 are working with other devices.
under Ubuntu the LED of the stick doesn't start blinking
under System>networking>I can only chose to enable modem and Ethernet

Ethernet works well.

Important!!!

It must be an hardware detection problem. Since yesterday 09-01-2007 ubuntu can't detect wlan-stick(s) anymore. Any other (mouse, memory-stick) is working in top condition.

Has there been an update, which could have caused this?

Ndisgtk says no hardware present on another notebook. Under winxp the stick runs instantly.
