Evolution Email mit Asmtp Protokol

I am working with Linux (Ubuntu 7.10) and the Email Program Evolution.
Since Yesterday my Email provider Freenet only works with Asmtp Protocol.
But i cant describe as Protocol Type Asmtp. I can only use as protocol Type Smtp.
I receive Emails with protocol Type smtp.

Thanks for your question Klaus.

ASMTP means "Authenticated SMTP". You're able to select the authentication type at the account preferences.

Since I'm guessing you're using German as your default language, have a look at Bearbeiten->Einstellungen->E-Mail-Konten->"Konto"->Bearbeiten->Tab: Verschicken von E-Mails->Server-Konfiguration->Server erfordert Legitimation.

Just change all values according to Freenets specification and Evolution will run as well as before.
