Hardy crashes

Asked by paddy48

I had Firefox running and bittorrent. When opening Openoffice and starting the recover function (recovering a document from a former freeze) Hardy crashes and restarts the computer. System is Intel P4 Prescott and ATI Radeon X800GT.

Thanks for your question.

Are you able to reproduce the problem? It's quite hard to offer any kind of support without the chance to get more information.

Sorry, I just wanted to pass the information quickly. I tried to
reproduce the problem, but up to now I was not successful. The crash was
a real surprise to me because I did not do anything unusual. I only
upgraded from Gutsy to Hardy yesterday and tried various functions and
applications today. Up to now I had one crash and various freezes. The
crash happened when using the restore function in OOo-Writer. But this
must not necessarily be the reason. The freezes happened in connection
with printing a short text from OOo and when playing around with the
screensavers.

Which logfile do you require

Best Regards

Paddy

I'm no longer at work to check the settings. I'm unsure whether I use my username or "domain\username". I'm sure I use the ip adress. :-)

Are you sure your company does not run Exchange 2007? If so, you'll need to wait for the Evolution MAPI connector, since connection through OWA Access isn't supported for Exchange 2007 and Evolution.

I don't require any logfile, unless you're able to reproduce the bug. There are to many possibilities.

Please try to find some situation, where the bug occurs regularly.

Can you help with this problem?
