Installing linux over vista

Hi,
I have 2 drives in my hard disk.If i empty one of them .can i install ubuntu on that.and do i need to get drivers of every component before installing.Can i dual boot in case of any mistake.

Hi,
When you install Ubuntu, it will give you the option to install it on the empty hard disk. After the installation is complete, it should detect your Vista partition and add it to the boot menu so you can choose which OS to boot to at startup.

You should not need to get any drivers, unless you have unsupported hardware. Assuming this is a regular desktop, you probably won't have driver problems.
