Got new Canon LIDE120 scanner and won't recognize
Get only scanner not found when trying to scan.
When using sudo sane-find-scanner I get
found USB scanner (vendor=0x04a9 [Canon], product=0x190e [CanoScan]) at libusb:001:003
When trying sudo simple-scan I get now scanner found
When I use sudo scanimage -L I get
No scanners were identified. If you were expecting something different,
check that the scanner is plugged in, turned on and detected by the
sane-find-scanner tool (if appropriate). Please read the documentation
which came with this software (README, FAQ, manpages).
even after this sudo sane-find-scanner still finds it
I am using an Acer laptop running Ubuntu 14.04, LTS 32bit
Before trying all this I ran update and upgrade.
I also tried following instructions found on http://
I also checked in sane.d and the file genesys.conf lists the Cannon LIDE120 as supported.
Anyway if there is any help please advise, thanks
