What are you sharing resources on the NAS using?
Can you ping the NAS?

I can ping my NAS and I'm not completely sure I understand what you mean by sharing resources.

If you run:

sudo apt-get install nmap; nmap iphere

What is the output? Obviously change "iphere" for the IP address of the NAS device.

The NAS shares a file system. It is then accessible to users. We need to know how you connect to it in order to access the data.
