How to avoid a black screen keep desktop background on

How do I keep the desktop background from going to black after a certain amount of time. I have gone to XFCE Power manager and set to Never suspend but that didnt work. I dont have a screensaver but I dont want it going to a black screen when not in use.

What is the output of:

lsb_release -a; uname -a; dpkg -l | grep screensaver
