after making one (successful) VOIP call with ekiga - a second or subsequent calls fail. No sound.

Asked by Neil Mclean

I am using hardy RC fully updated. Over the course of the beta the combination of ekiga and pulseaudio has had its ups and downs.

At this date (April 20 approx 0400 UTC):
- when I make a test call (example to ekiga echo test on sip:<email address hidden>) it will work without issue.
- I hang up the call and wait a few moments
- I making a second call to sip:500@ekiga but on this occasion (and all attempts subsequent to any number) I will get a "connect" and see the call timer incrementing - but will hear no sound from the remote end. Apparently the microphone is working (remote end can hear me).

Restoration of normal function sometimes comes after a wait of several minutes. Sometimes after "killall ekiga" but not reliable.

If I use an alternate application such as xtensoftphone I can make call after call with no loss of functionality.
