Help applying a patch

I would like to apply the patch given for this bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-games/+bug/216789

I don't understand how or what to apply this patch to. The file path that I see in the patch does not appear to be an absolute path. Is this something I can do on my computer, or something that only a package maintaner could apply?
