Whow can one open Ubuntu's file for Windows ?

I had sent letters to some contragents from my Ubuntu 7.10, Evolution with attached files in Open Office.I didn't get answeers. Then one of them wrote me:" I cannot read your file".Indeed its cannot be open in Windows! Yeh!That is the problem.How to get Ubuntu and to read its files in Windows recieved by Internet, or written on CD, ets ?

Hi,
      Thanks for posting the question. Can you please check the extension of the Open Office file you sent? Did that person try to open the file in Open Office? If the recipient was using Microsoft Office then you need to save your Open Office files in a compatible file extension.

Somename.odt, I at once renamed on Somename.doc. It works. But if I title my file by Russian lettes it is named "Untitled". However this is another problem.Thank you.
