problem with software updater
Hi boys and girls.
Today I stumbled on a little problem with my Synaptic Package Manager. During installation of Limewire my system locked up. CPU usage 100% and staying there. After about half an hour I decided to shut down manually and restart my box. Everything went ok until I tried to install Limewire again. Got a message that I need to shut down one of my managers, system updater or so. None of these were running at the time but I opened the synaptic manager and got message to manually correct problem. It said "run dpkg --configure -a" and so I did.
dpkg --configure -a
dpkg: requested operation requires superuser privileges
I guess you can now see my dilemma. I can not finish the job since even though I am the administrator of my machine I do not have superuser privilege. Well I went to the software installer/
