cant get updates

i get the update symbol but i cant download. i changed something in the SYNAPTIC PACKAGE MANAGER under settings i chose REPOSITORIES and it goes to SOFTWARE PREFERENCES clicked on the add button to ADD CHANNEL then the costom button to the APT LINE and i used the wrong line and pushed ADD CHANNEL and i screwed up

error (E:malformed line 33 in source list
/ect/apt/sources.list (type).

HELP ME PLEASE DAN

You can manually remove the offending line:-

ALT+F2, gksudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list

Go down to line 33 and fix or remove it. Save the file then try an update again.
