Compiz Fusion Cube

I have the Advance Desktop Effects Settings (CompizConfig Settings Manager) installed, Desktop Cube and Rotate Cube enabled, 4 workspaces on the bottom right hand corner, and Visual Effects under Appearance are set to Custom. Despite all this I still can't find the cube. I have tried ctrl+alt+left mouse drag as well as Ctrl+Alt+left arrow key. The first does nothing but if I use Ctrl+Alt+Arrow keys (left and right) I can switch between workspaces but no cube. Does anyone know what I'm missing?
