hi are you speaking of a problem that has just started or have you install ubuntu not having sound?

if you have no sound these may help

go into synaptic manager>services under the administration tab and if you have alsa sound management

there check enable that box. if this doesnt do it and you have just uploaded and dont have much data to

save you could try the option on rebooting f6 other options and remove the command option ´quiet splash´

from the line and run the install. this is drastic though so if you can provide a little more info maybe we can f

figure it out . as to your question it should not be specific to your audio or sound problem.AudioTx is a SW

codec - supports Codec over IP and ISDN sessions. you may need to configure a sound daemon or adjust a

couple of settings. if you want to use twinkle or wengo or ekiga the program should already have this in it

no need to add that. also you can go into the terminal which if i remeber in gnome is under applications

and type in this command

lshal and hit enter you should find out more about your systems audio support and how it is talking

to the rest of your system

peace =]
