Retrieving items from clipboard manager - Ubuntu 14.04

Asked by Lee Underwood

After having recently installed Ubuntu 14.04, I have tried many different clipboard managers, including an extension from Gnome (which I would prefer to use).

They all copied as they should (and I can see the text on the clipboard history) but I can't get them to paste. When I used Diodon in Ubuntu 12.04, I only needed to press Ctrl + Shift + V (to bring up the clipboard history) and click on the text to be copied. It doesn't work here. Even bringing up the clipboard history (using Gnome extension) gives a list but won't paste. Any idea shy?

I figured it out. Just for the record, in case anyone else has the same problem (using Diodon):

Open the dconf Editor

net
 |-- launchpad
        |-- diodon
               |-- clipboard - makes sure "instant paste" is checked.

It works fine now.
