Viewing the file name in the image viewer in Ubuntu 16.04 LTS

Asked by Not Telling

Is there a way to make it so the file name of the image being displayed shows when being viewed in the image viewer in Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, like it is in Windows 3.1?

That is the OS, what application are you using to view the images?

That's like asking what web browser someone is using and they reply with Windows 7.

The application runs inside the operating system. It is not the operating system itself.

You can use "xprop WM_CLASS" as described in https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage#Any to find the name of the image viewer application.

There are about 30 different image viewers available for Ubuntu.

Have you thought to maybe try a different one?

Simple when you actually think about it.

Your attitude is fucking appalling. I am not helping someone with such a pathetic ayttitude as yourself.

Enjoy struggling.

I shouldn't have to install an image viewer because an operating system can't do a basic fucking task such as display the filename of the image it is showing.

You are telling me to enjoy struggling when you would try out 30 different applications? When any normal person would just boot into any version of Windows since the mid 1980's to get the job done? hahaha you really are a dumb shit. No wonder you live out your life on here.

Can you help with this problem?
