How do I install linux without overwriting Windows?

I just got Ubuntu 7.10, and I want to be able to switch between windows and ubuntu at will. I want to be able to keep my data on windows, but still install ubuntu.

How do I do this?

Or you could wait for hardy its out in 10 days it can install in windows
