can't find archive manager

Asked by starsailor on 2008-04-12

Total newbie question: I've looked through various faqs on this, but it seems my query is so basic it has not even been asked yet! Where will I find my archive manager? It's not under 'applications - accessories' ... I've checked add/remove, and my ubuntu has it, so I know it's here somewhere! Help much appreciated

An easy way to create a archiv is to right-click on a file or directory and choose "Add to archive...".

Otherwise you could directly call file-roller using Alt-F2 and then "file-roller".
