Changing the mouse-wheel scroll amount in Ubuntu 16.04 LTS

Asked by Not Telling

How can I change the amount the screen scrolls when I use the mouse wheel? I looked in settings and in the help application but couldn't find anything about it.

OK, from the first link I posted. What is the output of:

lsb_release -a; xinput list

Thanks

I don't know what the output of 'lsb_release -a; xinput list' means.

Copy the command and press CTRL + ALT + T

Paste the command into the terminal and hit ENTER

Copy the output and paste as an update on:

You didn't "find the solution" because you haven't done any of it, otherwise you would know what I was asking for because it's one of the steps on the first link I gave. I bet you saw a lot of text, no pictures then closed the website off, didn't you

Which command?

I haven't done any of what?

That's right, lots of text I didn't understand and no pictures.

The command you quoted in reply #y

That's the command....

You haven't done any of the steps in any of the guides I posted. If you don't understand something, read around it. It's the basis of learning.

I haven't done any of the steps in the guides you posted, because there are no steps in the guide.

I read it. I didn't understand it because its in a foreign language to me without translation to explain what it is, like with what you said in reply #5. Now that you have told me it is a command I can use your instructions.

If you don't explain something to someone and assume they know what it is, you are unlikely to get your message across to them. Its human nature.

Here is the output:

I think you don't understand what I said about the guides not providing any instructions. I don't think you can help me anymore but thank you for trying anyway actionparsnip.
