Accessing the firewall

I am wondering if Ubuntu 16.04 LTS has a firewall? I had a look in the settings, in the search and also in the Ubuntu Software application but can't find anything.

By default yes. It has iptables. The default configuration is to allow all traffic. You can configure it as you wish. You can also remove it and use ufw if you prefer it.

Thanks so much for your help! I was able to find 'ufw' by using the help feature I found in the Ubuntu logo at the top left.
