Suspend mode in Ubuntu 7.10

Asked by bfo

I've been looking solution for my problem for some time, but with no luck. Every time I suspend my Ubuntu 7.10 machine (through the panel in X's) and try to wake it up later, it just stays suspended and nothing happens. Having checked pushing keyboard buttons and mouse buttons I finally tried Power button - but still with no respond. I've got ASUS P5NT-WS motherboard, Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600, 4 GB DDR2, 500GB SATAII 7200 Seagate Barracuda and GF 8800GTX. Has anyone experienced such problems with this/similar motherboard(s)? Maybe I should change something in the configuration, which I haven't done yet. What can be the reason?
