trouble installing Epson WF-3640 printer on 16.04 new install.

I have just done a clean install of 16.04, and cannot get a printer driver to load. When I tell the machine to go look for a driver, nothing loads. downloaded https://download2.ebz.epson.net/iscan/general/deb/x64/iscan-bundle-1.0.0.x64.deb.tar.gz, but cannot seem to make it work. I know this isn't much, and I know I am missing something, but any help you can provide would be appreciated.
