unable to read mail in Evolution

Asked by woof

All indications are that Evolution is installed correctly. It sends messages without a problem. But I cannot open the mail box which shows 43 unread messages. (These messages were transferred automatically from my yahoo mail account on another computer. They are now missing from that computer.)
I'd appreciate any advice. Thanks.

maybe this will help

you have to check option "leave messages on the server"

edit the mail accout setting, go into "receiving options" tab, and check "Leave messages...."

I've got screen shots of my set up. Any way to attach them to this forum? Thanks.

Your best bet would be to use a public service like Fliker to post your screenshots and then give us a link.

I'm embarrased to say that the problem was simply that the empty read mail panel was jammed tightly up against the top task bar. I accidently clicked on it and bingo! 54 pieces of mail!
Thanks for for trying to help, Trylik. I appreciate it.
