screen black out but rest of system working fine..plz help

earlier i was using ubuntu 14.04 lts. it was working fine. then i upgraded to 15.0 . while upgrading suddenly internet connection gone and screen goes black . after a long time nothing shown up so i switch off the system. when i again start it. it gone on command line interfernce. its not working for me. then i decided to use 16.06 lts so i intalled it and update my system .. after all update r done system want to reboot it. after rebooting screen does shown up ...but rest of system is working fine
but some time it start normally and working fine...

plz help

So what? Windows is a completely different OS with completely different support. It doesn't matter any what Windows does or doesn't do....

Have you checked device manager in Windows. It will be able to tell you the video chip.
